Drone Video: The China Threat

The world’s most popular consumer and commercial drones are made by DJI (Da Jiang Innovations), and now there is concern over a “vulnerability” in an app that controls them.

Cybersecurity researchers believe that the app collects an extensive amount of personal data that could be exploited by Beijing.

According to The New York Times, hundreds of thousands of consumers use the suspected app on Google’s android system.

These security concerns prompted the Pentagon to ban the use of DJI drones and the Interior Department to ground its DJI fleet.
