You Will Learn How To:

• Shoot video of news events and features

• Interview community leaders, news makers, and everyday people

• Report from the field and from the “studio”

• Write stories that are compelling and engaging

• Edit multimedia stories that you can share on YouTube and social media

• The course runs for two weeks

• The class meets as a group in a Zoom session for one hour and 15 minutes on Tuesday and Thursday

• Each student meets for a one-on-one brief Zoom check-in on two other weekdays each week

• Additional one-on-one time is available as needed

• Students do their shooting, writing, and editing on their own, outside of class time

• Students will work with shooting any community event, issue, or activity

• Students need their own smart phone or camera and editing software (iMovie is free on Mac and MovieMaker is free on PCs)
